The Lord Lieutanant of Gloucestershire paid a visit to Majorlift in Wickwar to commemorate a company milestone.
Henry Elwes went to the factory to mark the production of the company's 250th Vertical Transmission Jack.
Majorlift introduced the new VTJ1000 in September 2000 and offered a three year warranty in December 2004 due to its faultless service.
The VTJ was designed to improve safety, control and productivity in commercial vehicle workshops.
With the ever increasing demands of Health and Safety regulations, Majorlift's robust designs and 30 years of experience in the manufacture of garage lifting equipment has once again brought improved safety standards to the workshop.
Mr Elwes said "I was delighted to visit a Gloucestershire engineering company taht still manufactures 90 percent of its product in house and is a UK leader in its field. There are still exciting opportunities for quality British engineering and the company is a credit to the skills of Gloucestershire's people."
Bob Sims, Majorlift managing director, said "Majorlift continues to grow successfully and is achieving a record turnover this year thanks to our customers appreciating the quality and design innovation of our products. The increasing pressure of safety regulations on our customers encourages them to specify Majorlift quality."
